  • Oh wow! Incredible food, such a warm greeting and service from the staff. Sandra in particular was exceptional! Amazing live music while we ate. Cocktails were really reasonably priced. Gorgeous view of the church from the rooftop. We can’t wait to come back.

  • Rooftop, with beautiful views of city. Good fast service. Food well prepared with excellent selection of mole. We went to hear the music, and also found great food. Music was a new group, Leon, out of Chiapas. Excellent.

  • We had dinner on the rooftop late at night. It gets breezy up there so bring a sweater! It’s a lovely that they have a view of Santo Domingo church too. I was pleasantly surprised that they have a vegetarian friendly Azteca soup on the menu that hit the spot for me at this evenings dinner. It was a tomato based soup with a lot of crunchy tortillas and avocado, and a hunk of cheese. I also had a cup of penny royal tea to round out my wholesome dinner. My partner had Tlayuda w cecina and he said it was pretty delicious. Service was fast and kind. I recommend if you want a meal in a touristy location that doesn’t taste like it was only made for tourists.

  • My favourite restaurant in Oaxaca - I ate here three times during my week in the city :) both the mole coloradito and mole negro were incredible. The best I had in Oaxaca. The staff are lovely. They also have a really nice roof terrace with a view over the city. I loved every meal here.

  • My mind was blown. We came across this place our first night in town. We were led up onto the terrace and were greeting with a beautiful view of the church, and pretty lights strung above. The bartender greeted us as we arrived. Sandra handed us menus and gave us plenty of time to order. Our drinks were the Huaxyacac Sour and the Nahual. Both were divine! For food, we ordered the Sopa Azteca, the Mole Coloradito with pork, and Sandra suggested the Bolitas Istmeñas. The bolitas were one of the most delightful and tasty things I have had in such a long time. It was such a delight for the senses. I highly recommended you try. The mole coloradito also was fabulous, especially for it being my first time trying mole. I couldn’t stop going back for more bites. My husbands favorite was the Sopa Azteca because there were chicharons in it. Please stop in while visiting! You won’t regret it.
